This summer there are a bajillion new books that you could read but we’re going to suggest you revisit some awesome stories from the past decade that you may have missed.
My first suggestion is Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. This book was a major game changer for me. Everything about this book should have been too cheesy for words. This is a book about a girl who is forced to spend her senior year of high school at a fancy boarding school in the heart of Paris where she meets the ultimate dreamy English boy. Super cheesy, right? Wrong! Perkins wrote a romance that is so toe curling swoon that I actually considered calling off work to be able to finish it. Anna is sassy and alterna-cool with her love of movies and bleached blond stripe in her hair and the boy, Etienne (he will never be St. Clair to me), is so perfectly charming and British that the whole just about gives me palpitations. The book is part of a trilogy and while it’s two companions are swoon worthy in their own right neither quite reach the awesomeness of the first.
