Best of Book Expo of America: ARCs Editions Part 2

Howdy all, it’s Sarah!

I am rounding out the very end of posts about BEA 2017…there will be no more. I had a great time at this event and I am astounded by how great it turned out to be (after we learned how to really work it). The most important part of BEA and Bookcon is the ARCs…this is like the major reason for going, everything else is just extra. Here are my top five ARCs from BEA.

Big shout out to Penguin, I won an ARC prize pack and it included several of my must have ARCs.

Warcross by Marie Lu

Jane, Unlimited by Kristin Cashore

There’s Someone Inside Your House  by Stephanie Perkins

Things I’m Seeing Without You by Peter Bognanni

A Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao

*note I am basing the order of these purely on release date.

If There’s No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Release Date: September 2017

34225450

So if you have seen our video about Armentrout’s The Problem with Forever, you already know that I love her novels. They are steamy, they are drama filled and they are fabulous. At this point, I would read basically anything by Armentrout.

This novel is to be about a high school senior, who makes a mistake, which she doesn’t believe that she can come back from. There is boy drama and it is impacting her schoolwork and future. I want and am ready for this new drama. Bring it!

Release Date: September 2017

Let’s just take a minute to bask in the glory that is Stephanie Perkins. I love her Anna and the French Kiss series. The make me happy and make me feel all warm and fuzzy. This new book is going to creep me out…I can already tell.

There is a killer on the loose, who is working through Osborne High students. Who is it and how can it be stopped?

33158526Berserker by Emmy Laybourne

Release Date: October 2017

I love this author, she writes on my wavelength…apocalypse/end of the world. I find her books funny, action-packed, and awesomesauce. I totally fan-girled when I got to meet her at BEA and can’t wait to read the ARC I got signed.

This ARC promises supernatural powers from mythical gods. The main character’s deadly supernatural power sounds super interesting. I can’t wait to get to this ARC.

*I send another shout out to Source Books, whose people were super nice and awesome. I am all about supporting them. The following ARCs are from this publishing house.

As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti

Release Date: January 2018

This author also wrote The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett, which I haven’t read, but I am looking forward to this novel.

In Madison, a town in the Mojave Desert, everyone gets one wish. The main character wants to make the best use of his wish.

33918883Before I Let Go by Marieke Nijkamp

Release Date: January 2018

This author wrote the chalk book…okay, that is not what it is called, but how everyone knows it. She wrote, This is Where it Ends, the book about the school shooting. I loved her use of multiple perspectives, I found the book interesting and developed. I am totally looking forward to her new novel. I was not the only one, though. I waited in line for an hour and a half to get a signed copy of the new ARC. Not only was the author super nice, she seemed like a totally B.A. with her multi-colored hair and awesome tats.

Corey best friend dies mysteriously and her hometown is harboring the secret.
