What We’re Excited About: October Books!

Hi All!  Fall is upon us!  It’s that time of year for pumpkins, cider, and awesome new books.  Here is a shortlist of books being released in October 2019 that we’re excited about:

Becky’s List:

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
Release Date:
October 6

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Christina Lauren’s books. The writing duo has written some of my favorite adult/new adult romances. This time we follow Maelyn Jones as she navigates through the worst holiday season ever, and after a particularly awful day, she wakes up the next morning in a time loop forced to relive the same day until she gets it right. Christina Lauren’s books are filled with flirting, romance, and sexual tension, and I know this book won’t be any different.

Among the Beast & Briars by Ashley Poston
Release Date:
October 20

I loved Ashley Poston’s Once Upon A Con series, and I was thrilled when I found out she has a new book coming out. Among the Beasts & Briars is about Cerys, a girl with a tragic past that left her cursed, who must found her courage to save her home. Poston’s books are always fast-paced with great characters, and I know Among the Beasts & Briars won’t be any different.

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco
Release Date: October 27

I am a total fangirl for Kerri Maniscalco’s Stalking Jack the Ripper series. I love her characters, and she is a master at crafting mysteries. I can’t wait to read the first book in her new series, about Emilia, a witch who lives among humans. Emilia is trying to solve the mystery of her twin sister’s death, and she finds herself drawn to Wrath, one the Wicked Princes of Hell, when the two team up to solve a series of murders. This book just looks awesome and I CAN NOT WAIT!

Sarah’s List

You Know I’m No Good by Jessie Ann Foley

Release Date: October 13

I love all of Foley’s books! I didn’t realize there was a new one coming out, so it was a happy surprise to see the October release date. I can’t wait to meet a new character, Foley always crafts such great characters.

Charming as a Verb by Ben Philipe

Release Date: October 13

The cover of this book is what first drew me to it. This seems like it is going to be a fun romance. I can’t wait!

The Code of Love and Heartbreak by Jillian Cantor

Release Date: October 6

Romance with a coding layer and I am sold. I love computer hackers and computer hacker adjacent characters, so this is totally in my wheelhouse. Then to also find out it is a modern retell of Jane Austen’s Emma and I really can’t wait to have time to sit and read this book.
