Title: Charming as a Verb
Author: Ben Philippe
Halti is a guy that knows how to hustle and charm. He has found a way to make his dog walking business successful, even though he is a teen guy. He is friends with nearly everyone and can easily transition between groups. While his busy schedule makes it hard for him to show up on time, especially for debate practice, his gift of charm gives him a pass. His dog walking side hustle may come to an end if intense classmate, Corinne, exposes the truth. If Halti can show Corinne how to be successful social butterfly, she will keep the truth under lock and key. Once the two begin working together, sparks start to fly, but their differences are so pronounced, will they be able to last?
I really liked both of the main characters and had fun with this romance. The major conflict/twist in this book made me extremely uncomfortable to the point that I wanted to stop reading. I continued on and things ended as well as could be expected, but I really could have done without that twist. Overall, it colors my impression of the entire book. I liked the fluffy romance side of it and was laughing aloud while listening.
